About Findrack Sporting
Findrack Sporting was founded by Hal Salvesen, born from his belief that Scotland has some of the most diverse sporting opportunities in the world, which should be made more accessible. Hal grew up in Aberdeenshire and has now settled there with his wife Emily and their three children.
Findrack and Tillyfour estates offer shooting (grouse, duck, pigeon, pheasant, woodcock, geese & clays), stalking (red deer & roe deer) and fishing (salmon & trout). An expert in his field, Hal ensures that safety is paramount and believes in educating people about the importance of maintaining the ecological balance of the countryside for future generations. Beautiful landscapes and exceptional sport make Aberdeenshire the ultimate country experience. You name it, we’ll help you do it.
Steven Harmson has been Head Keeper for over 30 years. His wealth of experience has helped develop the pheasant shoot into the widely acclaimed shoot is today. He is a renowned shot and has taught many people, including Hal who shot his first pheasant and roe buck under his guidance.
Sam Owens joined the Findrack Sporting team in 2019 as an under keeper. Sam is a professional climber by trade but has brought a range of new skills that help us run our field sporting activities. He is an excellent shot/coach and is always on hand to help even with the most experienced of clients.
Carol Harmson has been part of the Findrack family since Steve started on the estate. She is an integral part of the team working in the estate office, organising all bookings and with a wealth of field sporting experience and a huge list of connections there is nothing she cannot source. Carol is also a renowned shot and competes for space in Steve’s trophy cabinet.
